My name is Vicky and from a young age, baking has been a big part of my life. I started baking when I was 5 years old with my Nanna and my neighbour Mabel. These memorable times in the kitchen sparked a lifelong passion for baking, especially cakes. 

Over the years my skills and enthusiasm for baking grew. I made my first novelty cake for my eldest son's first birthday which was inspired by the Mr. Men series. I have included some very dodgy copies of a few of the first cakes I have made...they are scans of original photos. that are over 26 years old and taken on old 35mm camera, so please forgive how bad they look!!

A friend then asked me to make their wedding cake, which had delicate purple butterflies made from royal icing. I always had a love for butterflies which inspired me to name my business "The Baking Butterfly," and I even got a beautiful blue watercolour butterfly tattooed on my body!

Today, I am proud to run my own cake business, where I pour my heart and creativity into every cake. In more recent years I have invested in training and learning new techniques to apply to my beautiful bakes.  

I know how busy life can be, having someone you can trust to create your cakes for any occasion can be a stress buster. My aim is to make the process as stress free as possible and produce a centre piece you can show off at your celebration. 

My home bakery is located on the beautiful south coast near Portsmouth, England, and I take pride in offering unique and custom cake designs helping make your family and loved ones occasions even more memorable.
